Page 3 of 9 — The Soul
This is the founding principle of Day 7 Public Benefit Corporation.
Every line of code. Every decision. Every partnership.
Measured against this single, uncompromising standard.
The Origin
Fifteen years ago, I came across a statistic that stopped me cold.
CHILDREN UNDER FIVE
Every single day. From preventable causes.
Twenty-four thousand children, five years old and younger, die every single day. From only two causes. Not enough food. Not enough water. They literally dehydrate and turn into human jerky. By the time you take a shower in the morning, 24,000 children have died.
I wrote that number on a whiteboard. And below it, I wrote a question to myself:
“Carter, what are you going to do about that?”
That question has followed me for fifteen years. Through failed businesses. Through doubt. Through every moment I questioned everything. But that question never left.
Genesis is my answer.
This was never about guilt. Never about picking at a scab. This was about birth. How can we collaborate together—all of humanity—and actually change the world?
That whiteboard has followed me for fifteen years. And what emerged is not a tech company. It is a civilization architecture—where every person’s gifts, knowledge, and creativity are sovereign, connected, and flourishing.
The Vision
Day 7 is a Public Benefit Corporation. Not a startup chasing a liquidity event. Not a nonprofit dependent on the goodwill of donors. A permanent institution with a legal mandate to serve human flourishing above shareholder returns.
The founding insight is simple and radical: every person on Earth possesses sovereign intellectual property—gifts, knowledge, experience, and creativity that are uniquely theirs. These gifts were not given by any corporation and should not be extracted by any platform.
“The cure to cancer already exists. It’s scattered across minds in 190 countries—researchers who’ve never met, doctors with field observations that never made it into a journal, indigenous healers with knowledge that predates modern medicine by centuries. The solution to hunger is known by farmers and scientists who live on different continents. Clean energy breakthroughs sit in university labs that don’t talk to each other.”
— Carter HillThe problem is not knowledge. The problem is connection.
Day 7 builds the infrastructure that connects all eight billion people—not as users to be monetized, but as sovereign individuals who own their own data, their own ideas, and their own creative output. Every person can contribute their gifts. Every person can monetize their knowledge. Every person retains ownership of what is rightfully theirs.
Every person on Earth carries unique knowledge, experience, and perspective. Through collaboration—not competition—those eight billion minds become humanity’s greatest resource.
Your data is yours. Your ideas are yours. Your creativity is yours. Day 7 provides the infrastructure for you to share, collaborate, and monetize—without ever surrendering ownership.
Current platforms extract value from people. Day 7 is built to generate value for people. The infrastructure exists to multiply what humans already know, not to harvest it.
The Erosion
3.7B
People without meaningful internet access
$280B
Annual surveillance economy revenue
71%
Of the world's languages are endangered
2.9B
People who have never used the internet
Indigenous knowledge systems disappear daily. Scientific breakthroughs remain locked behind paywalls. Communities that could solve their own problems are systematically prevented from accessing the tools to do so. The erosion is not accidental — it is structural.
Real people. Real communities. Real sovereignty.

The Architecture
Day 7 is not a single product. It is a comprehensive system of 27 interconnected programs, each designed to address a specific failure in how civilization currently organizes knowledge, protects citizens, and distributes opportunity.
Every program was designed with the same principle: deliver exceeding value, void of all exploitation. Here are the foundations.
Every law made understandable in plain language. Every vote transparent. Every dollar of public spending tracked. Citizens finally see what their government actually does.
AI-verified reporting from the ground. Source verification. Bias detection. Real journalism powered by real citizens, protected from manipulation and disinformation.
Democratic values built into the architecture. Not moderation after the fact—civility by design. Where disagreement produces understanding, not division.
Citizen-owned data. You control who sees your information, how it’s used, and whether you profit from it. Your digital identity belongs to you. Period.
7,117 languages. No voice excluded. Not translation as an afterthought—universal communication as a fundamental right. Every human speaks and is understood.
Eight billion minds, connected and collaborating. The farmer in 🇰🇪Kenya. The physicist in Tokyo. The grandmother in 🇧🇷Brazil. Each contributing their sovereign gifts to humanity’s collective intelligence.
Designed for abundance, not pharmaceutical extraction. Ancient wisdom combined with modern research. Every person deserves access to the full spectrum of human health knowledge.
Personalized. Sovereign. Principle-based. Not memorization factories but wisdom engines. Education that teaches how to think, not what to think.
Connecting farmers, researchers, and communities. Regenerative practices. Local food sovereignty. The knowledge to feed every person on Earth already exists—it just needs connection.
Financial systems designed for human flourishing, not wealth concentration. Every person can participate in the economy on their own terms, with their own gifts.
AI that presents all evidence—good, bad, pretty, ugly—and lets humans decide. Not an algorithm that tells you what to think. An intelligence that helps you think for yourself.
Artists, writers, musicians, and creators retain full ownership of their work. AI that amplifies human creativity without extracting it. Your art remains yours.
Twelve of twenty-seven programs shown. The complete Day 7 architecture includes programs for legal access, environmental stewardship, community organizing, elder wisdom preservation, conflict resolution, scientific collaboration, cultural heritage, disability inclusion, refugee integration, mental wellness, youth entrepreneurship, and infrastructure mapping.
The Difference
“We are not building a product. We are building the infrastructure for human civilization to function the way it was designed to function—where every person flourishes, not just the ones who can afford it.”
— Carter HillThere is an important distinction between Day 7 and every technology company you have encountered. Products are built to capture markets. Infrastructure is built to enable civilizations.
The Roman roads were not a product. The public library system is not a product. The internet itself—before it was commercialized—was not a product. These were infrastructure. They enabled everything that came after them. They created more value than any single company ever could.
Day 7 is intelligence infrastructure. Not intelligence that serves shareholders. Not intelligence that optimizes for engagement. Intelligence that serves people—that helps every human being access the full breadth of human knowledge, connect with others who complement their gifts, and participate in the economy on terms that respect their sovereignty.
The Alignment
Mozilla was born to fight for the open internet. For twenty-six years, you have held the line against monopolies, surveillance, and the slow enclosure of the digital commons. You wrote a manifesto. You open-sourced a browser. You proved that the public interest could compete with corporate power.
Day 7 fights for open humanity.
The internet was the first infrastructure. Intelligence is the next. And right now, intelligence is being enclosed faster than the web ever was. A handful of companies are racing to own the models, the data, and the interfaces through which humanity will access knowledge for the rest of civilization.
Mozilla’s Fight
Day 7’s Fight
“Mozilla proved that open source could defeat a monopoly. Day 7 proves that open intelligence can prevent the next one. The alignment isn’t coincidental. It’s inevitable.”
— Carter HillWhen 200 million Firefox users receive truth verification, manipulation detection, and sovereign AI—not as a subscription but as a right—it changes the calculus for every other company in the industry. It proves there is another way. It proves that technology can serve people without exploiting them.
Just as Firefox proved the web didn’t have to belong to Microsoft, Genesis proves intelligence doesn’t have to belong to OpenAI, Google, or Meta. It can belong to everyone.
The Soul
You were meant to flourish. To create. To contribute your gifts and receive the gifts of others. To live in a world where the systems that organize human knowledge exist to serve you—not the other way around.
That is what Day 7 builds. That is what Genesis powers. That is what this partnership makes possible at scale.
